Bernie Laherty-Guégan est une artiste visuelle et éducatrice d’origine irlandaise qui vit et travaille actuellement en France. Son travail inclus les disciplines de la peinture, du dessin, de l’installation et de la photographie.
Bernie a étudié les Beaux-Arts à Dublin, où elle a obtenu son diplôme avec mention en 1998. Depuis, elle a participé à des résidences et expositions dans divers contextes.
Un thème cohérent dans son travail est une préoccupation avec l’impact de l’état physique sur l’état émotionnel et spirituel et vice versa.
Son travail actuel explore les idées d’oppression, de contrôle et la découverte ou la perte de soi dans un certain espace ; en utilisant des images du corps, issues de son observation, de photographies et de dictionnaires anatomiques. Il est disponible à l’achat sur :
